LifeBASE Launch Coach

As Immerse Arkansas continues growing in Central Arkansas, we are looking for a passionate, dedicated individual to provide BASE coaching, support services and independent living skills training to youth ages 17-24 in IA’s LifeBASE Launch program, using an interdisciplinary approach.

POSITION ROLE DEscription

Reporting to the LifeBASE Launch Program Manager, the LifeBASE Launch Coach’s primary duties include:

  1. Coaching - Support youth from crisis in LifeBASE Launch program, walking with them as they achieve sufficiency in the areas of Well Being, At Least One (Healthy Relationships), Stable Housing, and Earning Potential, effectively utilizing Immerse Arkansas’ Overcomer process in a way that upholds Immerse values.

  2. Youth Enrichment - Provide opportunities for positive interaction, healthy connection, growth and fulfillment through consistent youth-centered activities and events.

  3. Cross-Program Support - In cooperation with the entire Immerse Arkansas team, create a safety net throughout the various programs of Immerse to ensure all youth receive the best possible care and support, responding timely and appropriately to individual needs.

  4. Participate in Team and Personal Development - Continually seek opportunities for growth, understanding, and balance to maintain health, both individually and as a member of the Immerse Arkansas team. Promote teamwork through collaboration, support, and communication.

Qualifications

All employees will be thoroughly committed to Immerse’s mission. The ideal candidate will embrace Immerse’s values of with, worship, and scrappy (visit our About Page to learn what this means!). All candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:

Education: Bachelor's Degree (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human/Social Services or a related field).

Experience: 2+ years experience working with youth from crisis (in or aging out of foster care, adopted, homeless, trafficking victims, etc.)

Additional Requirements:

  • Understanding of normal adolescent development.

  • Comfortable interacting with youth in informal settings, and must demonstrate a commitment to the value of cultural competency.

  • Proficient in managing a case tracking system and ability to fully utilize Google Suite docs, sheets, calendar, email, and team drive.

  • Available evenings, weekends and on-call as assigned, during identified days.

  • Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation with adequate insurance, and be able to travel within the assigned region on a daily basis.

  • Must successfully complete required background checks and must maintain current certification in CPR, First Aid, and other certifications determined by the program.

  • Must demonstrate a commitment to the value of cultural competency.

  • Adherence to an ethical code as it relates to the particular professional field.

  • Must be willing to work onsite as this is not a remote position.

Immerse Arkansas was founded in 2010 with the mission of helping transform youth from crisis into overcomers. The nonprofit organization serves youth between the ages of 14 and 24, whose past trauma and challenges have created barriers to becoming independent, healthy, successful adults.

Immerse Arkansas works with youth and families to address the underlying trauma resulting from abuse or neglect. We are looking for someone who fits that description to lead one of our programs working directly with youth from crisis ages 14-24. The LifeBASE Launch Coach is a full-time, on-site, salaried position.
