On any given night last year, more than 100 youth were sleeping on the streets in central Arkansas.

“I kind of sleep wherever I find. If I can’t keep going, I just go to sleep. This (under a bridge) is home I guess. For now anyway.”

“When I go to the other shelters, I see grown men and that’s one of my fears. I don’t want to get stuck where I’m at. I really don’t. And I don’t want to put myself around a lot of people to teach me what they’ve been doing their whole life. So, now I sleep outside because…I don’t want to be that person and I don’t want to learn the ways that they’re gonna teach me.”

“Picture yourself with two kids and one little couch. You’re just like ‘Wow, how are we gonna do this? How are we all going to fit on this one couch and be comfortable?’”

A SHELTER FOR YOUTH AGES 18-24 THAT OFFERS PROTECTION FOR NOW AND POSSIBILITIES FOR THE FUTURE.
