Giving Tuesday Now – Loving Spaces

Giving Tuesday Now, May 5

Join us on May 5th for Giving Tuesday Now, a special Giving Tuesday event created to promote generosity in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Here at Immerse, we have triaged the basic needs of the youth we support. Now, we are focused on securing funds to ensure loving and healing spaces for our youth by making some key repairs to our housing.

What are “Loving Spaces”?

Loving spaces are homes where youth from crisis can find the support and stability they need to begin taking steps toward overcoming. Loving spaces cultivate “felt safety,” communicate to youth that they matter, and inspire youth to pursue their goals and aspirations.

One of our supportive homes is in need of significant updates to become a truly loving space:

  • New windows - This ensures safety in the event of a house fire and reduces energy expenses

  • Central heat and air - This house is currently using window units for AC that do not keep up with the demand in the summer

Our goal is to raise $30,000 to make these needed repairs. With the support of a couple donors who stepped up early to help, we have already raised about $23,000 of the $30,000 needed to complete the repairs. Join these generous donors in ensuring our youth have loving spaces to call home!

As a thank you to everyone who is able to make a donation of $25 or more as we work toward creating loving spaces for our youth, we'll send a code for a free "Love is Rising" T-shirt.

Giving Tuesday Now Total

May 6, 2020

We are so thankful for the provision and support we have experienced over the last few days! With your help, we surpassed our $30,000 Giving Tuesday Now goal for a total of $37,200.

With these funds, we will not only install new windows and central heating and air in the support home pictured above, but we will also replace the roof on another support home, creating another loving space for youth in need.

Thank you for your generous support in caring for youth from crisis!
