Advocate for foster children urges more support for young Arkansans exiting system
Last December, Arkansas Division of Children and Family Services Director Tiffany Wright invited Immerse Arkansas CEO Eric Gilmore to chair a statewide task force focused on how Arkansas can become the best state in the nation to be a teen in foster care or age out. Over the past 10 months, the Ready for Life Task Force, made up of 13 partner agencies, has collaborated to develop recommendations for state leaders to strengthen support for older youth in foster care and help them successfully transition into adulthood.
