Immerse Arkansas is a finalist for the 2023 Community Impact of the Year Award

MEET THE FINALISTS! 🙌 We are pleased to announce that Immerse Arkansas is the 1st of three finalists for the Community Impact of the Year award, presented by The Ambassadors of the Little Rock Regional Chamber. "We work with young people facing a variety of challenges, whether they are aging out of foster care, runaway, homeless, trafficking victims, and help them become whole, resilient adults," explains Executive Director Eric Gilmore. The winners will be announced on Thursday, May 4th at the 5th Annual Small Business Impact Awards, presented by Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center.

Immerse Arkansas plans Little Rock shelter for young adults; 1st of kind in state, nonprofit says

A nonprofit organization plans to build a new shelter for people ages 18 to 24.

The Station -- a 7,265 square-foot structure -- will be located at 3201 Mary St. in Little Rock, and will be the first shelter of its kind in the state, according to Immerse Arkansas. Contractors for Immerse Arkansas launched the demolition process of an older structure on Wednesday.

Immerse Arkansas adds seven to staff.

Immerse Arkansas, a Little Rock-based nonprofit that serves youth in crisis, recently hired Mojadesinuola Adejokun, Alicen Bennett, Robert Butler, Debbie Chambers, Jana Coleman, Chelsea Taylor and Letha Todd. The organization also created five new positions to expand its staff.
