More about SOTO:
Explore 460 acres of natural Ozark Mountain Forest with self-guided hanging trails, a spring-fed mountain creek for swimming, fishing, snorkeling (bring your own gear), river tubing (tubes provided) and fun stuff like skipping rocks and catching minnows.
In this natural setting you’ll see bald eagles, blue heron, mountain goats, raccoons, otter, fox, and many beautiful birds. You’ll hear tree frogs and bullfrogs at night, see fireflies and bats (our friends that eat the mosquitoes). In the wilderness sky, you’ll see constellations, stars, planets and orbiting satellites.
Join us for a coffee shop-style live telling of true stories without notes from people who have walked with kids and families from hard places. Stories about how walking with these kids and families changes us. By telling these stories, we’ll experience healing and inspire others to stay on the journey of helping these kids belong. We'll shift the narrative of what it means to help, a shift from rescuing and fixing, to 'walking with' and welcoming the change that comes to our own lives.

We all know we need community but sometimes its just so hard to make it happen. Maybe you're too exhausted at the end of the day to add anything else to your schedule. Maybe you're worried about finding a babysitter. Maybe you live in an area that doesn't have much to offer in the way of support and community. We get it. That's why we started ParentChat- to bring community and support to you- wherever you may be and whatever you may have going on. ParentChat utilizes zoom calls to meet you where you are- all you need is an internet connection. Our October ParentChat will be led by Megan Garrison, adoptive mom. Megan will talk with us about essential oils and how they can be used to help children who have experienced trauma. After registering here, you will receive further details via email on how to join the zoom call. 1 ceu will be provided.
A free half day conference for foster and adoptive parents and their “village.’
