Meet Me at The Burgundy is an overnight marriage event for foster and adoptive parents who need to be rested, refreshed, and reminded of their love for one another. The event will include dinner from Table 28, a husband/wife speaking team who will speak life and encouragement into your marriage, an overnight stay at The Burgundy Hotel in Little Rock, and a full complimentary breakfast the next morning, also from Table 28. The weekend is open to 15 couples. The cost for the weekend is $150 per couple.
Our speakers for Friday evening will be David and Aamie Mason. David and Aamie serve in ministry together in Hot Springs, Arkansas. David is the pastor at Walnut Valley Baptist Church and Aamie is a counselor for Living Well Counseling. They recently celebrated 25 years of marriage, and have three daughters who joined their family through both birth and adoption and one son-in-law.
A special time for foster and adoptive families, Youwannago Family Camp will be full of exciting, go at your own pace, daily activities including swimming, river tubing, hiking on marked trails, sand volleyball, basketball, 9-hole disc golf course, horseshoes, GaGa Dodgeball, nine square in the air, activity fields for organized games, movies, etc. Our nightly activities will be organized and full of fun for all ages!
In addition to the activities above, each person in your family will be able to choose two scheduled activities. Please select two preferred activities and one alternate activity from the following list for each person in your family when you register:
Horseback Riding - Must be at least 8 years old to ride independently. Children under 8 years old may double ride with a parent. This will count as one activity for the child and one activity for the parent.
High Ropes Course - Must be at least 9 years old.
Cliffhanger Swing (Giant Swing) - Must be at least 6 years old.
Archery - Must be at least 6 years old.
Wilderness Paintball - Must be at least 12 years old.
Cost and Tickets
Ticket prices are below and include lodging, all meals, all activities, and t-shirts for the whole family. Children less than 12 months of age at the time of the Camp are free. Please bring a pack and play or other appropriate sleeping arrangements for children that need them.

A special weekend for fathers and their sons (4 years old and older). While this event is only for foster and adoptive families, it is open to ALL sons in the family- biological, foster, adopted, legal guardianships. Fathers and their sons will enjoy a campfire, zipline, a sled slide, hayride, sling shots, paddle boats, hay maze, horse shoes, climbing wall and a petting zoo as well as three delicious meals. Tickets are $15 per person.
We all know we need community but sometimes its just so hard to make it happen. Maybe you're too exhausted at the end of the day to add anything else to your schedule. Maybe you're worried about finding a babysitter. Maybe you live in an area that doesn't have much to offer in the way of support and community. We get it. That's why we started ParentChat- to bring community and support to you- wherever you may be and whatever you may have going on. ParentChat utilizes zoom calls to meet you where you are- all you need is an internet connection. Our October ParentChat will be led by Megan Garrison, adoptive mom. Megan will talk with us about essential oils and how they can be used to help children who have experienced trauma.
